SKILLS AND AUTOMATIONS CAN WORK TOGETHER

The skill does the job.
The workflow keeps it moving.

A skill gives AI repeatable instructions for a task, such as preparing a product listing.

An automation starts a process and moves information between steps, such as taking an approved product record into a draft queue.

Start with a manual run. Add connected apps once the process works.

Use an outline or made-up example here. For company or client work, use approved systems and AI only. Keep confidential documents, customer records, passwords and personal information out of this planner.

Workflow to SOP Builder

Describe the process you actually use. This builder reuses the process name, objective/context, systems, reviewer and AI platform already entered above. Workflow recipes are starting ideas, not confirmed process facts.

Drafts need human validation. AI-generated SOPs must be reviewed and validated against actual practice and applicable requirements, then approved by the authorised person before operational use.

Copy the prompt into your chosen approved AI tool. For related prompts, visit JP226 Prompt Library ↗. Use an outline or redacted example; do not enter sensitive process records here.

Is it worth automating? Add your estimates

Optional planning figures. Include the time you will still spend reviewing results.

This planner creates a blueprint and prompts. Connect and test the workflow in your selected tools when you are ready.

A few things worth knowing

OFFICIAL RESOURCES CHECKED 16 OCT 2026

Choose your level of connection

A manual workflow can use a reusable prompt or skill. Connected workflows need accounts, permissions and supported triggers and actions. A chat subscription does not automatically include an API account or API usage.

For company/client work, confirm approved AI, connectors and storage first. Use synthetic examples during setup.

Make cost visible

Check automation subscriptions, execution or credit allowances, AI/API usage, storage and any paid connectors. Self-hosted tools also need hosting and maintenance.

The workbench uses your cost estimates. It does not assume a particular paid feature is included.

Give each run a way to stop

Keep a unique record ID, a review queue and a clear failure status. Test a duplicate, an empty record and an unavailable service. Start with a small manual trial.

Only add sending, publishing or other external actions after the appropriate reviewer approves the result.

Guides describe suggested designs. Available connectors, API access, approval features and plan allowances vary; check the linked provider documentation before building.
